| We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. ~Winston Churchill Be the change you want to see in the world. ~Ghandi How lovely to think that no one need wait a moment, we can start now, start slowly changing the world. How lovely that everyone, great and small, can make their contribution....how we can always, always give something, even if it is only kindness. ~Anne Frank The greatest good you can do for another is not just to share your riches but to reveal to him his own. ~Benjamin Disraeli

| | What is Amachi? Amachi is a Niegerian Ibo word that means: Who knows but what God has brought us through this child. The Amachi program of Grand Forks provides one-to-one mentoring relationships to youth in all of Grand Forks County through a partnership with the Grand Forks Housing Authority. Our program provides two opportunities for volunteers to give their time: - Community-based program- mentors and mentees decide where and when mentoring activities will take place for a total of four hours each month with weekly contact for an entire calendar year
- Lunch Buddies program- mentors meet their mentees once per week for lunch at school for the entire school year
